It was “meant to be”

Not only have we found a 1980s connection between the two houses at HH&G (Century 21 Delaquila Realty owned and operated out of both properties, and I found a business card in 284 (the new house) that lists the other house’s address (272)), but there’s a double connection that goes back to 1875 and 1879!!!

In 1875, Thomas Abell bought 284.
Who witnessed the deed? The original owner/occupant at 272: Attorney Charles Adams Harrington!
Then in 1879, there was a court case of Hugh Love v. Thomas Abell … and the property ended up being sold. Who witnessed the deed? Charles’ son, Frank (also an attorney)!
And what’s more, I can verify elements of Frank’s signature – because we found it back in 2008 under the wallpaper in the master bedroom of Harrington House.
While I’m on the subject, we also found a drawing (self-portrait??) presumably done by Frank in the guest room!

I’ve added all of the images for good measure.
